Those Australians surely know a thing or two about torrential rain, sun and ‘mozzies’ – so suited to our unpredictable British weather, and ideal for that glorious cricket season!
This hat is so good that we simply have to tell you about all of it's features! Outback is a highly versatile cotton twill hat offering all-round sun protection (SPF30+/UPF50+) with its wide, snap-up brim, it is vented, waterproof and has all of the following fantastic features:
SUN PROTECTION - All materials have been tested according to BS7914:1998 by the National Radiological Protection Board and by the A.A.T.C.C. in the USA, and were awarded the highest possible sun protection rating.
HYDRO COOL CRYSTALS - The hat will actively cool you! There are special 'water loving' Hydro Cool™ crystals stitched into the front of the inner headband. If you need to cool down, simply soak the front section of the headband in water for about 3 minutes - the crystals will absorb and retain the water and give an immediate cooling effect. Depending on the temperature, the Hydro Cool™ crystals will keep cooling you for days and are fully reuseable - simply rehydrate the crystals as above. The crystals are non-toxic, non-flammable and non-hazardous.
BUG OFF - This hat will help to repel insects. It's treated with 'Bug Off' which uses mentho-glycol, one of the most effective natural insect repellents in the world today.
ANTI-BACTERIAL HEADBAND - The hat will stay 'sweet'. The inner headband is anti-bacterially treated which means it will reduce odour.
PASSPORT/SECURITY POCKET - The hat contains a 'hidden' pocket in its crown, big enough to hold a passport or money.
CHIN CORD - even in the strongest wind the hat will stay on when using the elasticated Chin Cord.
TEFLON COATED - The hat will keep you dry. The fabric is Teflon™ coated and is therefore water and stain resistant.
With a little work I’m sure it can be trained to walk the dogs too – but that’s still under development………
